The Azor Overdrive Pedal is the first guitar pedal I bought from Azor, As expected this inexpensive pedal is made in China and box says it’s from Caline Technology, although I couldn’t find the pedal on their website. Let’s take a look at the video review and see what kind of sounds we can make with this mini overdrive pedal.
For the demo video, I wanted to keep the review with low priced gear that anyone can afford. I used The Sweet Juice amp modeling preamp with cabinet simulator by Donner, recorded directly in Logic Pro X through a Firewire Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. No other effects or EQ were added in Logic Pro X. I also use the Donner Wave Delay nano pedal briefly near the end of the video.
The Azor Overdrive pedal is great for crunch rock tones as well as lead sounds, the level control really cranks things up making it great for a lead sound with a boost.
Features:
Drive, High, Low, and Level controls.
- Transparent and singing low gain overdrive pedal
- Full metal shell
- Very small and compact design
- True bypass switch
Optional Bottom
The Azor Overdrive comes with one velcro adhesive and one rubber and adhesive to stick on the bottom of the pedal.
Final Thoughts
Very cool inexpensive good sounding overdrive pedal.
Controls are simple: gain, level and a 2 bands EQ ( hi and low)
The pedal itself is a durable well-built in a metal housing. The on light is under the clear see-through level knob. In a well-lit setting, it might be hard to see it’s on.
Overall I like this overdrive pedal and would recommend it for crunchy rhythm and lead guitar playing.
